HONORING
Sheryl Ackerson
Hadassah Chicago-North Shore Organization Vice President and Henrietta Szold Hadassah Co-President

Sheryl Ackerson, a proud 2nd generation Hadassah leader, has been a Hadassah Life Member since 1989 and has served Henrietta Szold Hadassah as Co-President, Fundraising Vice President, and Membership Vice President. She has served in many roles on the Hadassah Chicago-North Shore (CNS) Executive Board for nearly 10 years. In November 2022, Sheryl attended the Hadassah National Convention in Jerusalem. Visiting several Hadassah-related sites made Sheryl feel more connected to Hadassah and its work of healing the world. Sheryl and Andy Ackerson have been married for 48 years and are the proud parents of two sons and devoted grandparents of four. Her family is her everything. All donations made in Sheryl’s honor will help heal and save lives by supporting Hadassah Medical Organization.

RECOGNIZING
Rachel Chernoff
Recipient of Hadassah Chicago-North Shore Leadership Award

Rachel Chernoff is a Hadassah life member and currently serves on the executive committee of Hadassah Chicago-North Shore as Co-Vice President of Outreach and Engagement. FEATURING
Talia Carner
Award-Winning Author, Master Storyteller, and 7th Generation Sabra

Talia Carner, Award-Winning Author, Committed Supporter of Global Human Rights, Master Storyteller, and 7th Generation Sabra, will speak to us about two little-known pieces of our people's history: the rescuing of Jewish orphans following WWII and a 1969 story of ingenuity and daring by the Israeli Navy, which together create the backdrop for her newest book, The Boy with the Star Tattoo. Talia was one of Algemeiner Media’s Top 100 People Positively Influencing Jewish Life in 2023.
