Join us for an evening with author Dr. Firooz Banooni, as he discusses his book A Life in Two Eras: Rites of Passage of a Jewish Iranian-American. Dr. Banooni's narrative paints a vivid contrast between the hardship and deprivation he endured and how he perservered to attain the pinnacle of success. Q&A to follow presentation. The book is available for purchase on Amazon and will also be available for purchase at the event (cash or check only).
Dr. Banooni was born to a Jewish family in Hamadan, Iran (Persia) as WWII started. The book is entirely factual to the author's recollection, without dramatization. It briefly recounts how the Jews arrived in Persia more than 2,700 years ago, and survived persecution and forced conversions. It also describes the conditions that they had to face with the recent Islamic revolution.
