Join us virtually for our next Women of the Bible Series event, Miriam: A Leader in the Wilderness, led by Dr. Sara Efrat Efron.
Miriam, Moses's big sister, was a prophet-leader. She was courageous, bold, and fallible. She knew when to follow and when to initiate and lead the women in song and dance. Drawing from biblical narrative, rabbinic literature, and contemporary scholars, Dr. Efron will discuss Miriam's enigmatic personality during The Exodus from Egypt.

Dr. Sara Efrat Efron is a Professor of Education. Before she retired, she was the Chair of the Doctoral Program in Curriculum, Advocacy, and Policy at National Louis University. Dr. Efron is a coauthor of Action Research in Education: A Practical Guide, now in its second edition and Writing the Literature Review: Practical Guide. She has published numerous book chapters and journal articles and presents at national and international conferences. She has also written nine Hebrew-language instruction books for middle and high school students (“Be-Darchai Noam"). Dr. Efron gives lectures on topics of Hebrew and Jewish literature, tradition, and culture.
