Hadassah Chicago-North Shore invites you to virtually attend Women of the Bible: Sarah the First Feminist, led by Sara Efrat Efron. Join us as we learn about the life of Sarah Imeinu, the mother of the Jewish Nation. We will examine her role as the first female leader of the Jewish people and explore her relationship with her husband, Abraham. Learn how they worked together as equal partners to build the path to the Judaism we follow today.

Sara Efrat Efron is a Professor of Education and recently retired from her role as the Chair of the Doctoral Program in Curriculum, Advocacy, and Policy at National Louis University. Her areas of interest include teacher research, mentoring, and moral and democratic education in times of crisis. Dr. Efron is a coauthor of Action Research in Education: A Practical Guide, now in its second edition, and Writing the Literature Review: Practical Guide. Dr. Efron has published numerous book chapters and journal articles and presents at national and international conferences. She has also written nine Hebrew-language instruction books for middle and high school students (“Be-Darchai Noam"). Dr. Efron gives lectures on topics of Hebrew and Jewish literature, tradition, and culture.
